Do you get a little confused about yarns and what each one means?

I know when I first started with yarn I had no idea what I should have used and what each yarn base was for. Any way, below is a list of the yarns I use, their weights, meters etc.  If you have any further queries, get in touch.


80% Extra Fine Merino, 20% Silk.

This super soft yarn is ideal for creating a luxury jumper

70% Baby Alpaca, 20% Silk, 10% Cashmere.

This super soft yarn is ideal for creating a luxury jumper 

Available in: 

  • Aran - 166 meters / 125 yards per 100g


75% Superwash Merino wool, 25% Nylon.

This is a soft and squishy yarn. It is superwash merino wool blended with nylon for added strength, making it ideal for socks. It can also be used for many other projects such as shawls, light weight clothes.

Available in: 

  • 4ply / Fingering / Sock - 425 meters / 464 yards per 100g

  • DK - 225 meters / 426 yards per 100g


80% Superwash Merino, 10% Cashmere and 10% Nylon sock weight yarn.

Superwash merino wool is blended with cashmere for a next-to-the-skin softness with nylon added for durability. 

Available in: 

  • 4ply / Fingering / Sock - 400 meters / 437 yards per 100g

  • DK - 212 meters / 231 yards per 100g

Big Softy

100% Superwash Merino wool.

This super soft lightweight yarn is ideal for warm winter hats.

  • Ultra Chunky - 100 meters / 109 yards per 100g
